چکیده
Abstract Background and Aims Chronic kidney disease represents a world-wide health problem, affecting approximately 195 million women around the world. Risk of development chronic is greater in comparison to men. Method We retrospectively analysed cohort 1457 patients after transplantation from all transplant centres Slovakia over period ten years 2010 – 2020. Parameters taken into account were cause end-stage renal (ESRD), outcome context differences between genders. Results Out 1,457 patients, 557 (517 primary transplantation) women, 900 (831) Primary causes leading (ESRD) female recipients where we observed statistically significant difference genders tubulointerstitial nephritis (32.1% females vs. 22.3% males, p<0.0001), autosomal dominant polycystic (17.6% 11.6%, p = 0.0013), systemic lupus erythematosus (2.3% 0.2%, P .0001). In male native kidneys more frequently affected by glomerulonephritis (38% 25.7%, nephropathy as complication type 2 diabetes mellitus (7.8% 4.1%, IgA (2.9% 1.1%, .0232). There no gender other ESRD. However, there was time spent on dialysis (39.4 ± 39 months 35.8 33.2 months, p>0.05), waited for significantly longer (32.9 27.4 39.4 31.5 p<0.0001). Overall death-censored graft survival rates our 12 91.2% 93.1%, p=NS, 5 80.7% 82.6%, 10 60% 66.7%, p=NS (Fig. 1). After years, overall patient among 96.8% 97.1%, p=NS; 89.9% 88.9%, 72.9% 76%, 2), respectively. Conclusion Despite comparable study, are studies showing that gender, well mismatch influence outcomes transplantation.

BACKGROUND Hemoptysis is uncommon in pediatric practice. We reviewed 10 years of experience with hemoptysis in a tertiary pediatric hospital to identify patient characteristics and predictors of mortality. METHODS Patients were divided into four age groups (0 to 5, 6 to 10, 11 to 20, and >20 years). Hemoptysis was defined as mild (<150 mL/day), large (150 to 400 mL/day), or massive (>400 mL/d...
متن کاملTracheobronchial Foreign-Bodies in Children; A 7 Year Retrospective Study
Introduction: Foreign-body aspiration is still considered one of the most important diagnostic and therapeutic issues for physicians. Mortality rates and the prevalence of diseases caused by foreign bodies in the airway are higher in children because of the relatively narrow airway and immature protective mechanisms. The aim of this study was to study the pattern of foreign-body aspiration in t...
